CVS trip

I love CVS. I feel like I get the best deals there, and I think it's all about the ECB's.

I had $21.50 in ECB's from last week's trip that I could use today. I didn't want to use them all because there weren't a lot of ECB making deals to do today, and I wanted to make sure I had some for next week, too. Last week, CVS was full of deals, but there weren't as many this week. The ones I got, though, I'm very excited about! I got two Olay regenerist face washes, Pantene shampoo and conditioner, and a Warm Delights brownie bowl for $0.63. Plus, I got $2 ECB's back and I'll get a $15 mail in rebate. Want to know how I did it?

Nicole's Nickels is where I started this week, with her list of CVS deals here.
For the Olay deal, you purchase two Olay regenerist face washes, on sale for $6.99 each. She mentions two $3/1 coupons from the P&G insert on 11/29. I didn't have those for some reason, so I used two $1/1 Olay coupons from another newspaper insert. My deal doesn't work out to be quite as great as her scenario, but it was still a moneymaker. That made the two face washes $13.98, minus the $2 in coupons, so $11.98. If you print, fill out, and send in the Olay rebate here, you make $3.02 in my scenario, or $7.02 if you had the coupons she mentioned. That's great!
For the Pantene deal, the shampoos and conditioners are on sale 2/$7. You get $2 ECBs when you buy both, so it's like 2/$5. There was $3/2 coupon in this weekend's P&G insert, and that makes you pay $4 out of pocket, get $2 ECBs back, so $1 for each bottle. Not bad!
The Warm Delights wasn't anything fabulous - just something Frank likes. They were on sale for $1.50 each, and there's a $0.50 off coupon you can print, so you can pick it up for $1.
My total before sales, coupons, and taxes was $26.25. After paying with the ECB's I could use, I paid $0.63 out of pocket. I didn't want to use another ECB because it would have wasted the rest of it - you don't get money back from them. I got $2 ECBs from the Pantene deal, and I'll mail in the $15 Olay rebate.

By far, my most successful trip today!
