2 daddies and 1 mommy

I seriously think my kid thinks he has 2 daddies and 1 mommy - and that's normal. Josh, who I generally refer to as my extra husband, and who has been my husband's best friend since forever, is pretty much always at our house. He eats dinner here most nights, and hangs out for a while. He's here in the morning on the weekends until after dinner. We love him dearly - and Tyler includes him in everything. Here are some recent examples.

  • When Josh puts his shoes on to go home, Tyler brings Daddy his shoes because he assumes if Josh is going outside, Daddy is too.
  • A few nights ago, Tyler was getting in bed with us to lay down and watch TV - bedtime was not going so well that evening. We climbed into bed, and he called for "Jooosh."
  • Today, when we ran out to CVS after Daddy got home, we got in the car and Tyler said, "go with Mommy, Daddy, Josh."

I think he is officially a part of our family - now he's my extra husband, and Tyler's extra daddy!
